外楽COMPANY株式会社 is a Social Enterprise* created by Guy (Gaetano) Totaro in 2009 to promote his diverse and eclectic talents, skills, and schtick. The company’s name is an homage to guys late father and namesake. Guy imagined that he would someday return to Gaetano Sr’s island of Sicily and never dreamed he would find himself calling the island of Japan his home. Serendipitously, the kanji characters representing the phonetic pronunciation – GAI (外) and TANO (楽) –  imply “funny foreigner” which, is exactly what Guy turned out to be.

The entities under the auspices of GAETANO Company include;

SUPAGAIJIN.COM: A one-man circus variety extravaganza featuring; physical comedy, circus skills, magic, and music to provoke joy, nurture creative, and empower children of all ages. Our customized shows and workshops are available for hire at private parties and events of all kinds.

NIKINIKOTAISHIH.ORG: The Smile Ambassadors program reaches out to children in need with a dynamic, highly interactive, and laughter therapy program. It was established in the aftermath of the 3/11 Tohoku disaster to promote healing and PTSD avoidance by sharing joy, stimulating imagination, and building confidence and self-respect. In the 3 years following the disaster, we visited 187 locations with over 12,000 affected children and multiple return appearences. Our ongoing efforts focus on collaborations with NPOs that are focused on supporting children across Japan and a percentage of the revenue generated by our SUPAGAIJIN family entertainment services goes to fund the program.
